Short-Term Running Goals:

Immediate Running Goals:

 - Training for the Flagstaff Sky Race 55K on October 1, 2015.  Ultra distance mountain race with 11K+ feet of climbing over ~34 miles.

 - 2016 P.F. Chang's Rock-n-Roll Marathon - shooting for my first sub-3 marathon performance!

Beyond:

 - Sub 1:20 Half Marathon; 2016 Crown King Scramble 50K in the 5 hour range

Long-Term Running Goals:

My long term running goals are still evolving.  I've begun running and racing more consistently in 2015 and have seen some immediate success.  I have a few solidified goals for myself over the next ~year and once I tackle those, I'll take time to evalute what my long term desires are.

What I do know is that my long term plan will include a lot of trail running (I love getting off road!) and likely less focus on road racing.  That said, I do appreciate returning to the roads to test my fitness and see what kind of times I can run for the traditional distances (5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon), so I will still pull out the racing flats from time to time.

Personal:

My personal motto is "Connect, Encourage, Pursue & Achieve".  I try to live life that way.  Connected to those around me, being an encouraging force (and also appreciating when I am encouraged by others), continually pursuing my goals and dreams and achieving at a high level.

I have 3 kids (all boys, so the decible level at my house is pretty much unbearable!).  They're awesome little dudes and keep me on my toes!!

I work a full time job as a contracts negotiation specialist (Finance background), which is demanding and rewarding all at the same time.

Things I like: chromed out valve stem caps; giving people hi-5's; bourbon & bbq; brunch on Sundays somewhere with a dj; sour patch kids.  Yeah, there's more, but you're probably getting tired of reading this crap now... ha!

Almost 1100 feet of climbing in this run at Dreamy Draw.  Pushed to climb the Irregular Link trail and Voaz climb.  Hot again as this run happened at ~10am.

HOT run!  Started at ~2pm in about 108 degrees.  The effort was hard due to the heat, though the pace wasn't fast.
